Babu is a nomadic chair. You can fly on a mat with it or use it to sit on in the sand.
Its design is inspired by the great journeys of the desert tribes. Great journeys in which man feels close to the earth, rests on it and blends in with the landscape. Babu is a place to relax and meditate; Babu is rest and refuge. An object created from the soul by Jordi Ribaudí in Igualada (Barcelona). City with strong roots in the local leather industry and headquarters of his studio located in an old tannery from the 19th century. Babu is constructed from a single 6mm thick piece of leather, which is folded over on itself to form the backrest. Small brass feet fix the shape, keeping the chair upright. The leather, vegetable tanned and finished with wax, is available in four colours: natural, brown, hazelnut, and black.
The seat cushion is available in cotton velor fabric or leather.
