The BKF chair is a reference design at Isist Atelier. It is made with bovine leathers from Brittany, France. All hides are tanned with vegetable extracts of mimosa and quebracho, without the use of chrome or its derivatives. This 100% vegetable tanning method makes BKF covers a completely natural, breathable and anti-allergenic product. The different finishes and colors allow the BKF chair to be easily integrated into any space.
To achieve a perfect union between the pieces, German Güterman threads are used, sewn with triple feed head machines. Once sewn individually, the four large leather blocks are joined at the intersection and sewn together again by hand.
The frame is made of 12 mm diameter solid steel, hand polished and painted in black epoxy, supporting the chair and distributing the weight among the four pillars of the base.
